Electrical Contractor
Everything you need for the Florida Certified Electrical Contractor license. Tabbed and highlighted books ship in 48 hours, with exam prep built by electrical licensing specialists.
What this license lets you do
The Certified Unlimited Electrical Contractor (EC) performs electrical work of any scope, anywhere in Florida: residential, commercial, industrial. It is a separate licensing track from the construction trades, run by the Electrical Contractors' Licensing Board, and it is the license that turns a master-level electrician into a statewide business.
What the exam actually looks like
Two parts, both open book: Technical/Safety (100 scored questions, 5 hours) and Business (50 scored questions, 2.5 hours). Multiple choice, computer-based through Pearson VUE. The passing score is 75 percent on each part, a higher bar than the construction trades, so tabbed references and timed practice are not luxuries here.
What we hand you
The complete approved reference set in current approved editions, hand tabbed and highlighted to the code articles and tables the exam actually pulls from. Ships within 48 hours or we credit you $100. Rentals include both prep courses. We handle exam registration and complete your license application with you.

Yes. Both parts are open book: the Technical/Safety exam (100 scored questions, 5 hours) and the Business exam (50 scored questions, 2.5 hours).
What score do I need to pass?
75 percent on each part. Electrical is the one Florida contractor exam where the bar is 75 rather than 70, which makes preparation even less optional.
Who runs the electrical exams?
Electrical licensing falls under Florida's Electrical Contractors' Licensing Board (ECLB) rather than the construction board, and the computer-based exams are delivered by Pearson VUE.

Florida offers several qualifying routes based on experience, education, or a combination. Call us and we will confirm the route that fits your resume.
Can I rent the books?
